Mallorca & Menorca

It is an only about ten miles from the south coast of Mallorca to Cabrera Island or Goat Island, the largest in the Archipelago of Cabrera and the Cabrera National Park.

This is an intact piece of Mediterranean, rich with unique plants and animals that live sheltered by coves and bays in crystal-clear waters. You can enjoy swimming in the Blue Cave and snorkeling. Having changed many different owners, the island is a treasury of cultural and historical landmarks.

You can have a light meal in the restaurant in the port of Cabrera.

The emerald of the southwest Mallorca, Cala Fornells is a splendid place with the rich pine trees border that offers shelter from the sunshine.

You can never get bored here – go swimming, snorkelling, walking, do beach sports or just relax in the beach’s own little bar with music in the mixed tourists-and-locals atmosphere.

Es Trenc is certainly the icing on the cake of the Mallorca adventure. This stunning beach with aquamarine waters is an Instagram star.

The two-and-a-half-kilometre long stretch of sand in the southeast of the island is easy to reach. It is a wonderful place if you like international ambience as it is frequented by foreign tourists and locals alike.

If you have always wanted to visit the Caribbean, but it was too far, Es Trenc is the place to feel the Carribean spirit. You will watch stunning sunsets, lie on the powder-fine sand and swim in translucent water. Nudists and naturists will find their piece of heaven there.

At the end of the day you can have a nice dinner at Es Trenc Restaurant, high-priced but serving tasty seafood dishes.

The beach is Maritime Terrestrial Natural Park and it also makes outstanding settings for watching migrating birds, particularly magnificent pink flamingos.

Salinas de Es Trenc with a 1000-year-long history is not far from the beach and it is worth paying a visit.

Menorca

Colom Island forms a part of Natural Park of S’Albufera des Grau. Spending time at one of its two beaches, the Beach Of Arenal D’en Moro and the Beach Of Tamarells, is stepping into paradise.

These unspoiled sandbanks are not just a fabulous place for swimming. They are a realm of marine life – the never-ending meadows of Posidonia, a land plant that adapted to living on the seabed, sponges and anemones.

They make snorkelling here an extraordinary experience. You can also watch various seabirds or look for lizards typical for the archipelago or go kayaking from a small jetty on one of the beaches, suitable for small boats. You will find only three buildings there, none of which is a bar, so you cannot expect any refreshments.

MAllorca

Mahón is the capital of Menorca and the world’s second-biggest natural port. Its charm comes from the natural beauty, colonial houses and fortifications that shape its skyline. You can visit the town’s museums, the old opera house and the local market. You can taste the most delicious seafood in Jàgaro Restaurant.

The port city of Ciutadella on the west coast is a picturesque milieu for medieval streets of the old quarter, the main square with the remarkable City Hall and two marvellous palaces. You will also see two stunning Baroque and Gothic churches.

Although Ciutadella cannot boast of great beaches, the eclectic architecture will compensate for it. You can take a break at Smoix, a fine restaurant that serves meat and seafood dishes with seasonal, locally produced vegetables.
