Founded by Friedrich Lürssen in 1875, Lürssen developed from a small German boatbuilding workshop into one of the world's major builders of large custom superyachts. The company is particularly associated with highly complex steel and aluminium yachts, extensive engineering capabilities and some of the world's largest private yachts. Its network of German facilities supports new construction, engineering, refit and shipbuilding operations.
