The cast and crew filmed aboard the 14 million dollar yacht for eight days. The Regina was transformed into a floating movie set, used for shower love scenes and dinners that included Daniel Craig, film producers and 20 guests. Regina looked like an entirely new yacht during the filming. Cabins were used as dressing rooms, the saloon was turned into a bedroom set and furnishings changed color.
The highlight of the entire production was sailing at half speed, when the yacht was shot in all her grace and beauty from above, the sides and on the decks. Take a look at the movie trailer and see for yourself (2:40 mark). With protection by the Turkish coast guard during filming, Regina really was the star.
Built in a Turkish shipyard, Regina was designed and built both for the conformity of a charter yacht and a ocean going vessel. Passengers (or top secret agents) who step foot onto Regina will discover interior styling with classical features and mahogany wood. Although Regina boasts a classic look, she is equipped with satellite TV, DVD and a music system. It’s no surprise why James Bond chose Regina for his adventures!
